Cintrifuse Capital is hiring: Network & Ecosystem Intern

Cintrifuse Capital Overview:

Cintrifuse is dedicated to catalyzing Cincinnati’s entrepreneurial spirit, empowering high-growth founders, and fostering a vibrant startup ecosystem in the Midwest. Through our collaborative efforts across Cintrifuse, Cintrifuse Capital, and StartupCincy, we provide innovative solutions, strategic investments, and inclusive support to transform bold ideas into thriving businesses. Our experienced team, deep venture network, and strong partnerships with corporations drive sustainable growth, job creation, and innovation, making Cincinnati a premier destination for startups and investors alike.

At Cintrifuse Capital, we’re helping to drive big outcomes for the Cincinnati region through our direct investment strategy, the tailored support we provide our portfolio companies, and through our investments in venture funds around the country. We provide Cincinnati startups with unparalleled access to capital and talent, and drive venture dollars and innovation from around the country into our backyard.

Through its SEC-registered investment advisor, Cintrifuse Fund Management, LLC, (dba Cintrifuse Capital), Cintrifuse Capital has over $150 million of assets under management. In Funds I & II, we focused on investment in some of the country’s and region’s leading venture funds. Through Fund III, we are continuing to invest in top venture capital funds, but we also have expanded our focus to include direct investment into Cincinnati-area startups.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a curious, entrepreneurial, and highly organized intern to join our Network team for Summer 2025. As our Network & Ecosystem Intern, you’ll support the operations and optimization of Cintrifuse Capital’s founder, fund, and partner network — with a focus on scalable systems, event and program execution, and ecosystem engagement.

You’ll work directly with our Head of Network and collaborate across the broader investment and platform teams to help activate a high-value community of startup leaders, VC firms, and corporate partners. This internship is a great opportunity for someone interested in startups, venture capital, ecosystem building, or operations.

Key Responsibilities

Community & Ecosystem Engagement

  • Support the planning and execution of founder- and operator-focused roundtables, programs, and events
  • Map and track high-potential talent, VCs, and ecosystem partners across the network
  • Draft communications such as event recaps, newsletter blurbs, and partner updates

Network Operations & Logistics

  • Maintain and update internal databases for network tracking and visibility
  • Help coordinate VC visits, startup engagements, and portfolio support touchpoints
  • Assist in scheduling, travel planning, and day-to-day coordination for ecosystem-facing work

Automation & Optimization Projects

  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline internal workflows
  • Build or enhance internal tools using Airtable, Notion, Zapier, and other no-code platforms
  • Support data collection and analysis to guide program improvements and network strategy

StartupCincy Week Support

  • Help shape and execute our venture-scale content and VC experience for StartupCincy Week (October 6–9)
  • Provide logistical support, coordination, and project management leading up to and during the week
  • Expect dialed-up hours and a fast-paced environment during StartupCincy Week — your availability during that time is essential

Who You Are

  • A current undergraduate or recent graduate excited about startups, venture capital, and innovation
  • Strong communicator and relationship-builder with attention to detail
  • Resourceful and self-starting — you can manage multiple projects with minimal hand-holding
  • Comfortable with (or eager to learn) tools like Airtable, Notion, Zapier, Slack, HubSpot
  • Curious, adaptable, and energized by both systems-thinking and community-building
  • Ethical, open-minded, diplomatic and use own discretion and judgment with limited direction.
  • Demonstrated application of time management and project management concepts/skills.
  • Ability to be a team player, operate in a high-functioning team environment and take on ever increasing responsibilities and grow into a larger role.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive data.

What will set you apart:

  • First and foremost, you’re hungry to learn, have a bias toward action, and genuinely enjoy fast-paced environments where no two days are the same
  • You’re humble, kind, and thrive as a thoughtful team player — you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves or ask questions
  • You take initiative, see problems or opportunities, and aren’t afraid to run with them (always in partnership with the team)
  • You’re curious about new technologies and passionate about supporting the growth of Cincinnati’s startup ecosystem
  • Bonus: You’re available to work May through early October, including full availability during StartupCincy Week (October 6–9)

Compensation & Structure

  • This is a paid internship. Hourly compensation is $17/hour.
  • This role is hybrid. You’ll be expected to work primarily from our Cintrifuse office in Cincinnati, with flexibility for remote days.
  • You’ll report to the Head of Network and collaborate closely with the entire Capital team
